How To Get A D1 OFFER

Below we will be discussing the 4 steps to getting  a D1 OFFER. I hope this helps

Also, if you are a QB or WR and would like 200+ QB & WR drills all mapped out with the exact sets & reps to do, checkout the link below! ⬇️⬇️

1)- Varsity film. I think one of the most common misconceptions about college football is that you can just show up to a college camp, impress a coach & then land an offer. At college camps coaches are generally looking for talent, but already know who their guys are. That’s who they offer, kids they have already been actively recruiting off of their varsity highlights. So if you aren’t on varsity, your main goals shouldn’t be getting recruited or “offers”. Yes that is important, but you cannot do anything without varsity film. You can be the best player in the world in T-Shirt & shorts, but if it doesn’t translate, you won’t play at the next level.

2)- Good Relationship with your high school head coach. Now, this is one nobody talks about and it’s actually some of the best advice I can give you. In the winter during conditioning college coaches will come to your school and scout. And guess who they contact first, your high school head coach. So if you are a guy who has a bad attitude, misses workouts (even the optional ones), isn’t a team first player- why would your coach ever refer you to a college coach? He won’t. If your high school coach gives a bad recommendation- that college coach won’t be coming back. So he’s going to be brutally honest with him. So make sure you have a good relationship with your coach. Regardless if you like him or not. He is your biggest asset in the recruiting process.

3)- Go to college camps for relationships. Like I said before, you don’t just show up to a college camp unnoticed and land an offer off of a few good plays. However, you still need to go to college camps- just approach it the right way. Go to camps to meet people, build contacts for Twitter, meet new coaches so when you get that varsity highlight tape- you have someone to send it to. And you have a real relationship with them. You are not a spam bot sending a bunch of obvious template/copy and paste messages.

4)- Don’t waste time at exposure camps. The “you are athlete” camps and the other million “exposure” camps out there will NOT help you. It’s simply a money grab. They pitch that “oh this college coach will be there” or this “rivals recruiting rep will be there”. What is he going to do? Scout 300 kids at one time and then put his name on the line to a college coach vouching for you? Without seeing your film? That’s if he even shows up. I can’t tell you the amount of stories I have heard of these camps promising xyz coach and the coach doesn’t even show up. And people STILL GO to these things. Guys, it’s a waste of time and money. Yeah you get your 40 times and other combine times… but a college coach simply doesn’t care. He didn’t see it, so what’s stopping you from lying? Self reported stats don’t mean a thing. Your game film means a lot to college coaches. I’m not saying all of these camps are bad but 99% are a total waste. If you don’t believe me, go waste your money and attend one and let me know how it goes. You should invest time and money into something that’s actually going to get you better. A trainer, gym membership, speed coach, position coach etc. It really bothers me that these guys put on these events knowing that nothing will happen for the kids who attend. They give “invites” to the guys who already have offers, from actual game film, they then show up for free work- the camp takes a bunch of photos of these top recruits and sell you on the false pretense that they got them their offers from their camp. They were already getting recruited. You just fell for the scam. Make sure you look into anything you are investing your time/money into in the off season.
