As an athlete, at least it was for me, it was extremely hard to gain weight. I would say it would take me around 60 days to be able to gain anywhere from 10lbs or more. So below is going to be an eating schedule that you can try to follow that will help you gain weight. I want to make it clear that this is not a one size fits all eating plan. Just a general outline that you guys can use and adjust accordingly based on your weight, age and weight gain goals.
Breakfast: 5 Eggs, 2 servings of potatoes or rice
Snack: Protein Shake, Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich
Lunch: 2 Chicken Breast, a serving of rice, and some type of fruit.
After Lifting: Protein shake number 2

Snack: some type of nut or yogurt (Make sure it’s natural, not salted or some type of flavored nut)
Dinner: 2 chicken breast or some type of red meat, sweet potatoes and some type of vegetable
If you repeat this process for 60 days I believe you can easily gain 10LBs for this upcoming football season. Obviously, you can have cheat days where you stray off of this diet but I feel this can be a good foundation for you.
