So this article is for those of you who have played a season on varsity. So if you are a varsity level football player, your primary goal for recruiting needs to be getting your film in front of college coaches. You should be contacting them on Twitter now known as X.Your profile needs to be professional, you should have you name, position, graduating class & also the school you attend in your bio. If you’d like a list of over 500+ college coaches that you can contact, checkout the link below! ⬇️
Now, when you reach out to college coaches, you shouldn’t just spam them your highlights. Your highlights should be a pinned tweet in your bio and coaches will look at that organically. Best way to get a response out of a college coach is to ask them a simple question like “Hey Coach my name is xyz athlete from xyz school and I was wondering if you have any camps coming up that I can attend?”. That can open up a line of communication with the coach and then down the line you can DM him your film. Don’t send a spam message that every other recruit likes to send. Then after you get the camp specifics you should attend. Before the camp, message the coach again & let him know you will be there. After the camp, message the coach and thank him for his time. Then you can keep communication with him leading up to the next season. During the following season, you can send him your varsity highlights again and this can lead to an offer. Or at least spark some interest. This is the process I recommend each high school recruit to take.
