Is height the most essential thing for receivers… no. But it can certainly help, so I would say if you’re on the quicker side of things and maybe aren’t sure what position to play- receiver might be for you if you fit this height criteria. If you are a little smaller then what we list below, please don’t give up the position, at the end of the day you can’t control your height. But you can control your skills and how good of a WR you are. That needs to be your primary focus.
Age 12- 5,3-5,6+
Age 13- 5’5-5’8+
Age 14-15- 5’7- 5’10+
Age 16+ - 5’8-6’0+
The range represents a slot receivers (who are generally shorter) to outside WRs who are on the taller side of things.
