Best Things WRs Can Put On Their Highlight Tape

Below we will be discussing the best things that WRs can put on their highlight tape. I hope this can help!

Also, in 2025 we are coming out to 13 more cities for QB/WR skill camps! We will be coming to PHOENIX AZ, CHARLOTTE NC, AUSTIN TX, CHICAGO IL, SEATTLE WA, LAS VEGAS NV, NEWARK NJ, BIRMINGHAM AL, HOUSTON TX, BOSTON MA, COLUMBUS OH, BOISE IDAHO & LOS ANGELES CA Checkout the link below to sign up ⬇️⬇️

So your varsity highlight tape is what will help you stand out to college coaches. There are really 5 things that you need to include/showcase that will impress any coach from any level of college football.

1)- Plays that showcase your speed. Whether that’s a kickoff return, a deep fade ball or you running a screen pass 50-60yds for TD. College coaches need WRs who have speed.

2)- Explosive plays. Breaking tackles and juking defenders. Aka yards after the catch.

3)- Tough catches. Jump ball catches, catches while getting hit, diving catches etc.

4)- Great route running. Even if you aren’t thrown the ball, if you can show an efficient route that shakes a defender in man coverage that is the best way to show a college coach you can win. At the next level you see so much more press coverage so they don’t want to recruit WRs that can only run routes against zone.

5)- Blocking. At least 30% of your offense will be run plays at the next level. So you need to make sure you check off the boxes physically. Don’t let your lack of help in the run game be an area where another recruit can gain an edge on you.
