BEST EQUIPMENT FOR WRs

Grant Caraway

Below we will be discussing the best equipment for WRs. We will talk about the best pads, helmet & other equipment you need to have.

Also, if you are a WR and would like a complete off season training guide, checkout the link below! You will get access to an 8 week on field training guide (route, release & catching drills), an 8 week gym workout plan for WR, a 4 week speed workout plan for WRs & a full guide on how a WRs can get a scholarship offer. Check it out below ⬇️⬇️

Pads- The best pair of shoulder pads that I recommend are called “2 In 1” Pads. They only have adult/high school size pads currently but are dropping some for youth athletes this summer. Essentially these pads are where you put a vest on and then a polyester plate over the vest. It’s 2 pieces rather than your standard shoulder pad that is 1 full item. These pads give you literally complete mobility and I highly recommend for any WR. They are light and you can catch passes easily over your head. They have two versions, carbon fiber & polyester. Get the polyester, it’s way cheaper and it accomplishes the same thing. Now that will run you around $250-$300 so if you can’t justify spending that, don’t worry I also recommend any type of Xenith skill position pad. Those are also great for youth athletes who can’t yet fit into the 2in1 pads. Xenith pads are cheaper and probably have the second best mobility to the 2in1 pads.

Helmets- Can’t go wrong with any highly rated helmet. Riddell speed flex, Schutt F7, “Light” Helmet, Vicis etc. Helmets can be expensive so just make sure you are shopping within your price range. However, the most important thing for a WR when it comes to a helmet is a face-mask. Make sure you get a skill position face-mask or look up one that you can attach to the helmet. You want as much vision on as possible.

Cleats- Adizero Cleats if you want light cleats. The new “Adizero Electric” cleats are great. Adidas sent me a pair and it feels like you’re wearing track spikes. If you want more supper, I recommend the “Nike Vapor Speed 360 2.0 Cleats” Nike sent me a pair of those and I feel way safer on cuts with those. Like my cleats have more grip on the turf/grass. Adidas is way lighter and I feel faster but just a little less grip in my opinion.

We will be coming to Dallas TX(SOLD OUT) Nashville TN(SOLD OUT) Chicago IL(SOLD OUT) Buffalo NY, Atlanta GA, Houston TX (SOLD OUT) Philadelphia PA(SOLD OUT), Detroit MI, Boise ID & Los Angeles CA!
