AVERAGE WEIGHT FOR WRs BASED ON AGE (5th-12th Grade)

Below we will be discussing the average weight for WRs based on their age/grade. We will be discussing grades 5-12.

Now when it comes to weight- you can’t put too much stress on the EXACT number. College coaches or scouts will never recruit based on the exact number that you weigh. They just want an athlete who has good size but is as athletic as possible. Especially at the WR position. This article is just to let you know if you’re underweight and might need to put on some size. For you younger guys reading this- if you haven’t hit puberty yet… I don’t really want you to worry about your weight but this is still a good gauge to see if you’re on the right track.

5th grade- 90-100lbs

6th grade- 110-115lbs

7th grade-120-130lbs

8th grade-135-150lbs

9th/10th grade- 155-175lbs

11th/12th grade- 165-190lbs
