Now I want to start off by saying that you younger guys shouldn’t worry too much about throwing farther. I would say until you hit 7th/8th grade- throw distance should be one of the least of your worries. Focus on developing good habits and good mechanics. The more fluid of a throwing motion you have, once you get older, it will only help you. For you 5th & 6th graders, you most likely haven’t hit puberty yet and your body has so much growing/developing to do. So if you can combine that growth & development whenever it happens with a great throwing motion, you will be so much better off than your peers long term.5th Grade- 25yds
th Grade- 30-35yds
th Grade- 35-40yds (with a middle school ball)
th Grade- 30-35yds (with a high school ball) (in 8th grade I believe you should be using the high school ball ASAP)
th/10th Grade-40-45yds
th/12th Grade- 50-60yds
