Average Height For WRs (5th-12th Grade)

Below we will be discussing the average height for WRs based on age. More specifically 5th-12th grade

Also, if you play WR and would like a 2 month daily workout schedule to follow, checkout the link below! We give you 8 weeks of field route running workouts (sets & reps/video examples included), 8 weeks of WR specific gym workouts (sets/reps/examples includes) and a 1 Month speed development workout plan to do. Check it out here ⬇️⬇️⬇️

So we work with a lot of WRs across the country every year. We travel from state to state hosting different camps and these are generally the average heights that we see at the receiver position. This is not meant to discourage you, this is just meant to inform you of where you are at height wise. Height isn’t everything but if you are undersized as a WR, just know you need to work on certain aspects of your game to stand out. Like speed, quickness, route running and catching to just name a few.

5th grade- 4’10–5’3

6th grade- 5’0-5’6

7th grade- 5’3-5’9

8th grade- 5’9-6’0

9-10th grade- 5’9-6’2

11th-12th grade- 5’10-6’3

(There is a wide range on these because slot WRs are generally shorter than outside WRs)
