Now I want to start off by saying that the 40 in my opinion isn’t the best measurable of speed. I think that showcasing your speed in a love game situation or scenario is always best. The 40 is extremely technical, one false step or bad start can really screw up your time. But unfortunately, this is what scouts use to measure. So below are times you should try to shoot for based on your age. 5th Grade- 6.0-5.6
6th Grade- 5.6-5.3
7th Grade- 5.3-5.0
8th Grade- 5.0-4.9
9th/10th Grade- 4.9-4.7
11th/12th Grade- 4.7 or below
